Quick bump: Irreparable inflation

Inflation in the United States is reportedly back to normal. But that doesn't mean the government fixed the problem.

The government reports inflation is back down to around 2.3% per year. But it doesn't feel like inflation is under control. In fact, it probably feels like prices are still sky-high. That's because they are. The government's inflation caused long-term harm.

Watch a excellent video explanation of the irreparable harm of inflation:

That's the cost of living crisis. Suddenly we went up from prices being around [baseline] to [20% higher]. And you don't really see that in this data, okay, because inflation is really just measuring the difference between [last year] and [this year]. And if you look at those two lines, you're talking about a 2.3% change. That's the number we're talking about today.

But for a lot of people it's not about that. It's about the difference between [3 years ago] and [now] ... that's 20%. And I think that's the dichotomy here, between these inflation numbers where it looks normal, and this [large inflation in 3 years] which is really not normal at all.
